Letter #1 - Friday, April 30, 2004 :

Charmie & Teresa
Here I am at Aunt Donna's house in Savannah, GA. She says she bets you all thought that I fell in a hole after leaving Aunt Nancy's. No, I didn't. I am fine and here I am. I have just been resting, GIGGLE-GIGGLE, and regaining my strength after visiting with Aunts Nancy and Patsy in Augusta. Wow, they kept me so busy! Aunt Donna kidded about just taking a picture of me standing on the shelf in her room with all of the other dolly girls, but then she did not really do that. Anyway, we will soon be getting out and about Savannah!!! Aunt Donna says Uncle Steve will be home this weekend and then we will go to his place of work at Hunter Army Army airfield and get my picture taken in a heli--helly--hello--???--'copter, however you spell it. But I can only sit in it. We will not be flying... But still--won't it be fun? I can hardly wait. She says Uncle Steve will just love that, too, and he can hardly wait, either. And she smiles really big when she says that, so it must really be true.

Aunt Donna says she is" a PRO CRASS TIN ATER"---??? And that if I tell you all about it, then she will HAVE to get out and get things done.... We also hope to get out to OATLAND ISLAND, which is Savannah's version of a zoo. You all can visit its site online. www.OatlandIsland.com It is a petting zoo with some farm animals and birds. Also we will be going to an aquarium on Skidaway Island. I hope we can still breathe. I have never been IN an aquarium before. And hope WE don't SKID AWAY to anyplace, either, OR fall off that island!! Aunt Donna says the aquarium is right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean!!

In the first picture, above, I am the girl on the right. Who would have known that if I didn't tell you? Cousin Teresa Charity is on the left. We are both wearing new DIDI Charmin outfits that Aunt Donna recently bought. I am the first one to get to model the one I am wearing. Teresa didn't seem very charity like---she told me not to get any ideas, the dress was staying when I leave. But Aunt Donna said NOT TO WORRY. She would send me off with something pretty and all of my own!! YAY! I have so much stuff from all of the loving aunts I have visited. Aunt Donna says she doesn't even know if I will fit in the one box when it is time to go visit Aunt Judy in Wisconsin. My box is FULL of lots of stuff!! Aunt Donna says I am a very special--or was it spoiled?? --dolly girl!! Special, spoiled. She says it is fun to spoil special people!! And that I am! So take that, Teresa Charity.

I am only kidding. Teresa and I really like one another. She is Aunt Donna's only Charmin and she is VERY HAPPY to have me visit her, and we've haven't been apart for one minute this visit.

Rosalyn & Alannah
Above here is a picture of "sisters" Rosalyn Renee and Alannah Joy. They are modeling new Didi dresses, too. Aunt Donna says Rosalyn and Alannah really are sisters, that they both came from the same 'dopshun agency--whatever that is. Momma says to tell Aunts Desiree and Nancy, and BIG Rosalyn that Alannah's curls have mostly fallen out. But not to worry, Alannah is still very pretty and little Rosalyn is happy that she is here.

Didi Collection
Here are the four of us together. Aunt Donna says to tell you that she took these pictures with a diss-poze-abel camera. Her son Matthew went to Disneyworld last weekend and had a few shots left on it. So she took our pix in the new DIDI clothes and to show you all that I did not really disappear. She says she wishes you could see how pretty this dress that I am wearing REALLY is. The picture just doesn't show it. Aunt Donna told me to tell you this: I am like the governor of California and I'll be back. I don't know what that means, she just told me to say it. Whatever makes her happy.

Last but by no means least, she says to tell you all that the beautiful little quilt behind us all on the sofa was a gift to her from her very sweet friend Martha, in St. Louis. Aunt Donna seems to be very fond of it and told us not tear it up!! AS IF!! (When she turned around, we all jumped up and down on the sofa--wheee!!! Hee hee hee!!)

Till my next letter,
Love, hugs and kisses--
Everybody's favorite Charmin Niece;
Traveling Charmie!!

Do I have to read this thick book? Hope not, I am beginning to get a little bit tired….

Charmie at college

Oy, this is too much! Maybe I am not ready for college yet!

Charmie at college

Think I'll check my e-mail while in the information technology (computer class) lounge.

Charmie at college

Boy, college is tough! But I got this sitting and down and resting part down pat!! While I was here today, Cousin Shawn got me some goodies for my traveling box. I got an AASU pin, and some postcards of AASU, some brochures and even a map of Armstrong's layout!! But I think I will wait a few years before going to college, maybe give elementary school a try FIRST!!
