This is a 12.7 mm anti-aircraft gun~~gee, I feel so smart saying that! Uncle Steve says this piece of equipment was captured during the Persia Gulf War I ~~ I don't know why soldiers would capture a machine, but they did, and I got to sit it, too.

Uncle Steve says the other gun is a 23 mm anti-aircraft gun. But he says they work well against ground items, too.

Charmie & Torie at the beach

Yesterday, Aunt Donna took us to the beach! It was such a beautiful day! Sadly, you can not see the water in these pictures, but it really was there! She said it is the Atlantic Ocean. Grandpa Earl and his girlfriend, Carol, wanted to go to the beach after dinner, so we did. Aunt Donna said whe wasn't going without us!! Torie and I dug in the sand awhile--see the pile and hole behind us in the second picture--and we just sat there and enjoyed the sunlight, too!! It was such a pretty day!!

Charmie & Torie at the beach

Aunt Donna said it was so sweet seeing us sit there and watching the smiling faces of other little girls walking by, just looking at us sitting there. Torie can't talk very much since she is a baby, but I think she really enjoyed the beach, too. We collected seashells. . .
